Shipper Posted August 4, 2009 #1 Posted August 4, 2009 When I stop gently the front brakes or fork make these noises especially when starting out. The service manager says it's normal(surprise). Is it? Also will the front fork hold air for more than a day? Thanks!
Eck Posted August 4, 2009 #2 Posted August 4, 2009 When I stop gently the front brakes or fork make these noises especially when starting out. The service manager says it's normal(surprise). Is it? Not sure what kind of noises you are actually referring to, but the front brakes on the RSV always makes a noise upon stopping and it sounds like a grinding type noise in a way, and that is normal. Also will the front fork hold air for more than a day? Yes..........they should hold it for a long time. I ran around 3 to 5 lbs in the front forks.
bobbyduck Posted August 5, 2009 #3 Posted August 5, 2009 Yup them brakes do that. The forks should hold air all winter, mine do.
wrongway2 Posted August 13, 2009 #4 Posted August 13, 2009 my 06 does the quish quish as well. But you can tell the service dude that not holding air in the front shocks isn't normal.
BoomerCPO Posted August 13, 2009 #5 Posted August 13, 2009 I hear that quish-quish sound on my RSV also.but the sound comes from......... my seat. Boomer.....who knows quish-quish can happen anytime after a overload of chilli.....and the nearest bathroom is miles away.
