MidlifeVenture Posted August 3, 2009 #1 Posted August 3, 2009 http://www.stimulate-us-now.org/ Sounds better than anything I've heard lately this is what America is about stand up and be heard. Check it out if you feel good about it sign.
Guest seuadr Posted August 3, 2009 #2 Posted August 3, 2009 i'm not sure it would make a difference, i mean the last "stimulus" check for everyone i know went straight to bills. not spending on consumer goods.
MidlifeVenture Posted August 3, 2009 Author #3 Posted August 3, 2009 It would be a debit card instead of cash might help:confused24: and the time limit would keep people from sitting on it.
BoomerCPO Posted August 4, 2009 #4 Posted August 4, 2009 Only 3K ? That won't even cover my heating oil bill for the Winter. Boomer.....who's waiting for the giveaway to hit 50K and wonders when the Federal Tax Bill will come due.
TEW47 Posted August 4, 2009 #5 Posted August 4, 2009 I didn't receive a stimulus package last time so I don't want one now. My wife still works and I would have to pay it all back in taxes anyway. tew47
Condor Posted August 4, 2009 #6 Posted August 4, 2009 OK, all you that don't want or need the $3000 grand, send it to me. I'll find something to spend it on....
davecb Posted August 4, 2009 #7 Posted August 4, 2009 This will never happen. It doesn't bail out big business. If they do it, I don't think anyone on welfare should get it. Give all the working people making less than $100,000 a year or less $5,000 each. Why should people on welfare get it when we are the ones keeping this country running. And yes, your taxes are going to go up if the health care plan is passed....
saddlebum Posted August 4, 2009 #8 Posted August 4, 2009 A simpler solution would simply be to reduce taxes to the working class. The working class are the ones who keep money circulating. It would not require additional expenses to the government because its not like you would have to set up another expensive program, which costs tax payers money in order to implament it. Companys are suffering because the working class is not buying. Giving away tax payer's money does not increase sales since in order to provide it you must further tax an already tax burdaned working class. As the old saying goes moving manure from a pile behind one barn to a pile behind another does nothing. You got to spred it around the field to make things grow.

spear Posted August 4, 2009 #11 Posted August 4, 2009 It supposedly worked down-under. The Aussie government gave all tax payers $900 each and told them to go out and spend it. And we did. Apparently we're now on the way out of the doldrums. (I didn't think I could spend $900 so many times!!!)
ArcsSparks Posted August 4, 2009 #13 Posted August 4, 2009 Everyone is a "working Class" I don't care if ypu earn 25k or 500k you work for it so lower everyones taxes and the FAIR TAX is the way to do it
