Howdy all,

I am hoping someone know what to call the lower scoop looking thing under my radiator. I had one of the light fall off. The plastic retaingin ring broke off and the remaining light is going as well. I think this is an after market item. I don't know if the epoxy type adhesive would hold it back on or if I should go ahead and replace the lights. Maybe I will just take the thing off. Does it help direct air to the radiator?

Thanks for the help

I got me one of those, and it has 'good' lights in it. and it has 'good' lights in it, want to trade?????, yours is very shinny compared to mine, I can see why you'd want to fix it properly. I know I seen the fixture somewhere on line, I'll have to see if I canfind it for you, give me some hours and I'll see what I come up with. Carl

I've got one like it but need to replace one 'cause the insides are broken (won't hold a bulb anymore) I glued mine in with silicone. I'm looking for a replacement of the original or I am going to buy some surface mounted ones. If you want to get rid of your good one, let me know?!

On a side note: i am looking for one (1) LED (preferred) type low profile or small driving light. If you have one please let me know. Thanks!

I looked but haven't come up with it yet, I know it's out there somewhere. You might try to contact Rick Butler, member here, he might be able to help. I could use a couple of new ones as well.

A rainy day Saturday afternoon, changed the oil and filter on my '84. I was able to get this done fairly quickly (surprisingly for me) and decided to tackle the missing lights on the lower scoop. I found these surface mount side marker lights at Walmart (these are marked Blazer brand item number B423A). I conected the wires with the round plug together connections with dielocectric grease. I had an old set of radio mounting brackets that I used behind the scoop and bolted the lights to this. Not stock, but looks better that the hole. As you can see in the second picture, I did manage to miss the oil pan while draining the old stuff out. Kittylitter to the rescue.

OK what you have is an aftermarket product marketed by ventureline, I think, but was made by drag specialities. Good luck finding an OEM part but I think they do exist...
