sbrilla11 Posted August 1, 2009 #1 Posted August 1, 2009 does anyone know off hand what order the vent/vacuum hoses are on a 1300 carb?? i bought a motor without a carb and the vent hoses did not come with it and im lost. thanks for any help! Steve
steve crossley Posted August 1, 2009 #2 Posted August 1, 2009 as i rember it there arnt any vac or vent hoses only fuel inlet and drain hoses .do you have other 3 to compair to ?
hipshot Posted August 1, 2009 #3 Posted August 1, 2009 steve, i just went out and checked to make sure. there are NO vacuum lines attached DIRECTLY to the carbs on a 1300. the only vac. line that is present connects directly BELOW the carb on the left front, where it mounts to the intake boot.all other vacuum ports are blanked off with rubber caps. hope we are on the same page. just jt
sbrilla11 Posted August 2, 2009 Author #4 Posted August 2, 2009 .... i just went and took some pictures.. as you can see my venture is a little bit different than your guys's.. hehe... in the first pic there's the 4 steel tubes on the carb that im wondering about. i also took a picture of the hoses on the ports that i figured were supposed to run from the carb? hope you guys can help me out, thanks! Steve
hipshot Posted August 2, 2009 #5 Posted August 2, 2009 Man! that must be a V-MAX engine. my 86 don't look anything like that! sorry i couldn't be more help. just jt
Squeeze Posted August 2, 2009 #6 Posted August 2, 2009 Those upper Ports are Vent Hose Connectors. When i see your Application, I'd put Hoses on them and lead them somewhere below the Motor.
Squeeze Posted August 2, 2009 #7 Posted August 2, 2009 Those Hoses which run from the Intake Manifold are normally plugged with rubber Plugs, you'll need tose Port to synch the Carbs. Don't know what Purpose they should serve in your Ride, but if they connect "front" to "rear" Carbs, that's a "Jason Mod" which is a doubtful Help. You could leave it that Way or plug it up, what ever floats your Boat. btw .. nice Tractor !! :happy34:
sbrilla11 Posted August 2, 2009 Author #8 Posted August 2, 2009 hey thanks a ton guys. i appreciate it alot, ive spent the last 8 hours looking at diagrams and i didnt even see a single thing about that. haha... time to take a break. thanks again! Steve
Snaggletooth Posted August 2, 2009 #9 Posted August 2, 2009 Now that's an application for a 1300 you don't see everyday. Gotta dig it though. I'm glad the guy I bought my bike from didn't see that or I wouldn't have the bike. He builds IH Cubs for his boy to pull with.
Venturous Randy Posted August 2, 2009 #10 Posted August 2, 2009 In the middle picture, the hoses you have in your hand are connected to the YICS ports, which would indicate the engine is a 1200, not a 1300. That is not the ports used for the Jason mod. These ports should be capped. The tubes on top of the carbs are vent tubes that are pointing to the left and as noted should be to below the engine. It looks like you have tubes on the inlet fuel tubes. RandyA
Pappa Bear Posted August 2, 2009 #11 Posted August 2, 2009 OH My Goodness !!!, Where can I see that thing pull????? Seriously Wicked
