N3FOL Posted August 9, 2009 #26 Posted August 9, 2009 I'm shocked to hear about the news. Be careful my fellow riders. RIP Bruce. Ride Safe.
Donnie1 Posted August 9, 2009 #27 Posted August 9, 2009 Bruce Rossmeyer passed on the left a vehicle turning left. Stupid, right? But check this comment to the story that was posted: The accident occurred in WY, so FL law doesn't apply. Are there other states where this (to me idiotic) law applies? We don't know Mr. Rossmeyer's thinking, but do you ever do stupid things just because it is legal? Dave It says as to cause a hazard, if 4 bikes had already made it around, seems to me he would have had plenty of time to slow down and maneuver differently.
IH Truck Guy Posted August 14, 2009 #28 Posted August 14, 2009 While everybody else was having a blast in Arkansas,I was layed over at Daytona waiting for a load...I spent most of my weekend at Bruce's dealership.....It was a sad time... He was truly a great guy who gave so much back to the local community... His favorite charity was Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis,Fl...He was one of the founders.. He also served on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls clubs and he organized rides during "Bike Week" that have raised over 2 millon dollars for them.. Bruce was a class act who gave of himself all the time...... He will be missed......
Yama Mama Posted August 14, 2009 Author #29 Posted August 14, 2009 That was nice Dan that you got to go to his dealership. There was a big area for his dealership in Sturgis. Of course, they had a black cloth draped over the sign. He certainly was a very giving, generous individual. Yama Mama
