Boomer,

Got tell you a quick one....when I was 9, our grass runway strip next to the cornfield was under water after a heavy rain. My grandpa Torg landed his Cessna on our highway out in front of our house. He taxied up our gravel driveway. I happen to be out playing in our front yard and about croaked when I saw him pull up!

This is the same man who didn't believe in air control towers and the Minneapolis airport banned him from ever landing there again after he just "put her down" on the taxi strip.

It's also the same man who started parachuting at the age of 75!

Being out here in the country has brought us a fair share of surprises as well. To date over 6 hot air balloons have landed in the hay field next to our house. I like the Certificate and bottle of champagne they give to us when they do that!

3 years ago a small plane did an emergency landing in our 70 acre corn field. The corn was just about ready for harvesting, and being so TALL it certainly added to the pucker factor of that pilot!:rotf:

Boomer........who never knows what is gonna fall out of the sky around heah.....:D
