trw9596 Posted July 30, 2009 #1 Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) My drain cock assembly was leaking. I took the plug out and found that the O-ring was missing. I figured that was the problem. I ordered a O-ring from the local Yamaha dealership and I picked it up today. I got all off the pieces together and found that I am missing that little tiny ball that sits on top of the spring. Are there places that might have them? If so, what size is that little ball? Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Todd Edited July 30, 2009 by trw9596
loadmaster Posted July 30, 2009 #2 Posted July 30, 2009 just looked in my manual, doesnt give a size, any good hardware store should have a supply of ball bearings, take the valve and try to match it up, the manual states," make sure the ball falls into the valve body" Frank

trw9596 Posted July 31, 2009 Author #4 Posted July 31, 2009 Thanks for the information. I will go to the hardware store tomorrow.
MasterGuns Posted July 31, 2009 #5 Posted July 31, 2009 I used a bb used in a BB gun in my 88 that I sold last fall. Worked fine for as long as I had the bike.
trw9596 Posted August 2, 2009 Author #6 Posted August 2, 2009 I went to the hardware store and got another ball bearing. I put the plug back in along with the screw and a fired it up. It started leaking again. I am out of knowledge on what to do next.
