Wizard765 Posted July 30, 2009 #1 Posted July 30, 2009 on his knee playing baseball last night. Very swollen and he can't walk on it so it looks like the trip to the Hub is not gonna happen. Now we are asking for a miracle from the LORD and anyone inclined to help in that respect would be appreciated. If the LORD wills it then a miracle would put him back on his feet. Wayne
gibvel Posted July 30, 2009 #2 Posted July 30, 2009 You guys have got to stop doing that!! Hope it heals quickly and is able to make the rally!!
Yama Mama Posted July 30, 2009 #3 Posted July 30, 2009 I will pray that it heals up in time for the rally. Keep it elevated and ice it every hour for 20 to 30 minutes. Yama Mama
muffinman Posted July 30, 2009 #4 Posted July 30, 2009 Thats not nice. Heal quick Karl maybe you will make the Intenational. I wont make it this year the plane flight would be to long. :rotfl: Jeff
Sweetnothing Posted July 30, 2009 #5 Posted July 30, 2009 Carl....I guess you forgot, you are NOT supposed to do that stuff!! You are getting too old for that falling down stuff! We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers that you heal quickly, and have a safe trip to the Hub!
Cinderella Posted July 30, 2009 #6 Posted July 30, 2009 ok now stop this nonsense.........it seems every day or two someone has to drop out of the rally because they are sick or in your case injured....... some old coots just never learn do they?? im a prayin that it heals very fast........and isnt as bad as it sounds so you guys can make the trip.
Yammer Dan Posted July 30, 2009 #7 Posted July 30, 2009 Take care of it Carl. Little harder to heal after you pass 21 yrs old...
mini-muffin Posted July 30, 2009 #8 Posted July 30, 2009 Heck don't he have a car? I mean if it comes down to it. Oh and you folks have got to stop posting threads that say so and so went down. Scares ya first thing. I thought it was on his bike. Do what yama mama says with the ice. And no more playing kid games ya don't heal as fast as you use to. Margaret
Venturous Randy Posted July 30, 2009 #9 Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Hope you heal up quick buddy. This is just one of many reasons I do not play baseball, along with being; too old, too short, too fat, too lazy, too tired, too uncoordinated,.....I think you get the ugly picture. RandyA Edited July 30, 2009 by Venturous Randy
Condor Posted July 30, 2009 #10 Posted July 30, 2009 Heal as quick as an OF can Carl. What are doing playing baseball at 40+ anyway...? You're suppose to watch it on TV in a recliner. Ride the scoot for exercise. Ditto on the title of this thread. Way to scary and not enough info....
PBJ Posted July 30, 2009 #11 Posted July 30, 2009 Ditto on the age thing Carl , And i'll bet yo won't stay off of it either will you? You be hobbling aroun dthat Butcher shop all day only making it worse! get well soon. Maybe its time to start palying safer games like Rugby or Lacrosse . LOL!
CdnDave77 Posted July 30, 2009 #12 Posted July 30, 2009 After having countless knee injuries through hockey, running and triathlons, I can tell you they hurt.. however, IF you keep icing it every hour to get the swelling down, move it as gingerly as you can (for a min or two BEFORE you ice it again) so that the stretched tendons don't adhere to everything around them, and take it easy, you will heal quick. Hopefully quick enough that you're still going to be good to go. Baseball ? I hope you at least tagged the runner trying to steal home...
RandyR Posted July 30, 2009 #13 Posted July 30, 2009 I'll bet it will be good enough for the ride to Arkansas this weekend...
chabicheka Posted July 30, 2009 #14 Posted July 30, 2009 on his knee playing baseball last night. Very swollen and he can't walk on it so it looks like the trip to the Hub is not gonna happen. Wayne the LORD'S got better things to do than attend to carl's swollen knee, or whatever else is swollen........ the Lord gave carl brains to use. what was carl doing on the baseball field at his age? he should be sitting in the stands looking after his grand children while the youngsters play....or be a towel boy or fetch the balls when they get lost in the tall grass.....make sure there's enough ice in the coolers etc...etc...:sign **** happens:
Tom Posted July 30, 2009 #15 Posted July 30, 2009 HEY...I wanted to meet Him!!! Im gonna pray REAL Hard! See him at the Rally! I HAVE FAITH !!!

Freebird Posted July 30, 2009 #19 Posted July 30, 2009 Oh...and I do agree with the other posters. I hope you heal quickly and we see you in Arkansas and WHY is an OLD FART like you playing baseball? I mean....I'm young enough to get by with it but YOU?????
SteveW Posted July 30, 2009 #20 Posted July 30, 2009 Checkers, Chess are probably a better choice Just kidding hope you heal up quick and keep Ice on it and it elevated. Just lucky it wasn't a hip. ( old guys like me know all about that LOL)
Cinderella Posted July 30, 2009 #21 Posted July 30, 2009 oh and that reminds me.carl volunteered for my little game so he has to be there....and all he has to do for that is sit or stand there.......
Wizard765 Posted July 30, 2009 Author #22 Posted July 30, 2009 I posted with that header so that it would get your attention and it worked... Sorry for those of you that got a jolt out of it... Wayne
HALRSV99 Posted July 30, 2009 #25 Posted July 30, 2009 Man that left knee looks really bad. Really sorry you and Marca are not coming, we will take lots of pics. Heal fast, and give up the ball. I had to 5 yrs ago due to the same kind of injury. It's easier to give up the ball than it was to listen to the speech every time I wanted to get back into it. Hal
