The RSV manual states that the size of the rear tire should be 150/90B15 M/C 74H.

I'm looking at getting the following:

* Front = Avon 150/80-16 71H

* Rear = Avon 150/90B-15 M/C 80H

1) What does the M/C stand for?

2) What does the 74H and 80H stand for?

3) Being the manual states 74H and Avon has a 80H, will that be a problem?

4) Avon also has a 74V. What does the "V" stand for? (Which one is better, the "H" or

the "V" series?)

m/c=motorcycle tire

71 and 74 and 80 are the load range, the 80 load range rear is around a hundred pounds more capacity than the stock 74.

I think the letter is the speed rating, V is way higer than you need

Many here, including me, run the AVON AM42 Venom on the rear 150/90vb-15

Hi

Be carefule of the Avon Tires I had mine start to crack in the tread area. Avon was not at all helpful in this matter. Just my 2 cents I went to a dunlop and no Im not a tire salesman.

Thanks for the info.

I'm in Phoenix, AZ and I'm getting the bike ready for a ride up to Yellowstone in early September. Then down through Denver and westward accross Colorado (if weather permits) The trees will hopefully be very colorfull.
