Stripped Oil Drain Plug

It’s alive. IT’S ALIVE!!!

Two weeks after stupidity, the venture lives…

Pan I was sent I put on Monday night. It leaked. Took it back apart and looked like I’d pinched the thin paper gasket. RTV to the rescue. Filled and fired it up last night, no drips, no runs, no errors. Finally.

And Thanks to Jeff for helping out a forum member in his shining moment of complete stupidity. :You_Rock_Emoticon:

Dont feel bad I have done the same thing to mine I always get 2 oil pan gaskets when I order because I either tear one or loose one.

We are glad to hear that you got the scoot back on the road.

Now it should run faster its got a First Gen part on it.

Haven't noticed that it's any faster but the radio seems to be stuck on the oldies station all of a sudden. :stirthepot:

Boy, that has to feel good to have it running again and be riding again, just in time for cooler weather.

I got home from officiating a soccer match last night and put oil in it about 10:00. Came back and checked for leaks. Cranked it up and checked. Took a short ride and checked. Then took it out riding.

The ride into work this morning was fantastic, even though the destination was work.
