saddle bag lid bras

I just put a set of these on my RSTD. It takes some patience to put them on, but they look nice when done!

I installed mine early this season, they were a "gift" from Santa.....so far, so good! They look great, and so far, not everyone has them, so they are "unique" and create some great comments.

 

I like them, and I don't worry about Beth scuffing the lids anymore. Yup, a pain to install, but the end result is worth the aggravation. I actually cemented mine with contact cement, instead of using the tubing. Made for a tighter fit!

Sent him a email today about building me some water bottle/bags for the rear saddle bag gaurds like River Road makes for the Harleys.

He said he could do it. He is a member here by the way. He has a Tour Deluxe

Water bottle holders like this especially made for the Venture?

Did you just use the contact cement on the edges or on the whole lid? I am just thinking about down the road if you need to remove them for some reason.

Just around the edges...that way if I ever tire of the look or want to replace them, pull 'em off, get the goo gone and a case of beer and remove the contact cement....maybe

Just ordered the tank bib from him. With my fat gut I will end up scratching up the tank if I don't. Do you guys have a name for the disease that causes people to buy all this stuff for our bikes. lol On one forum they called it crowitis because the guy that runs it goes by crow.
