GunnyButch Posted July 28, 2009 #27 Posted July 28, 2009 How is the Crazy Horse carving progressing? It's been 5 years since we've been out there.
coldinnd Posted July 28, 2009 #28 Posted July 28, 2009 yes Devils Tower is an awesome campground> When will you be in Sturgis? My wife and I will be there the first weekend.
Yama Mama Posted July 28, 2009 Author #29 Posted July 28, 2009 We will be there probably by Tuesday. It just depends on how many miles we go a day. It is 1200 miles from our home. If you see a 99 RSV from Ohio, it probably is us. Yama Mama:hurts:
Dano Posted July 28, 2009 #30 Posted July 28, 2009 Let me know when you leave, we'll try to time it as you go past Exit 101 up here on 74 and be on the bridge and wave at ya!
Yama Mama Posted July 28, 2009 Author #31 Posted July 28, 2009 (edited) Ok Dan, I am usually ready before Ron is. I get the bike packed all up. Then he goes in an out of the house probably 5 or 6 times double checking things. Then he gets on the bike and starts it, then he turns the bike off and goes back in the house again. I start walking back into the house, because I figure he cannot find something important. Then he says well are you ready yet? I look at him kindly and say I think I might be. By the time this all has happens, I have to go to the bathroom one last time. Then we hit the road for our trip. It is the usual routine. Oh and our son is at home, too. But at any rate, I will give you a round about time we are going to leave this Saturday morning. Hehehehe. Yama Mama:big-grin-emoticon: Edited July 28, 2009 by Yama Mama
Bvinson Posted July 28, 2009 #32 Posted July 28, 2009 (edited) Peggy, Try this link. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ We use it for campground reviews when traveling in the motorhome. It has all the campgrounds listed by state. You can also download campgrounds into your GPS as POI's from this site http://www.poi-factory.com/ Hope this helps. and have a safe trip. Don't forget the camera... Bill Edited July 28, 2009 by Bvinson
Iowawegian Posted July 28, 2009 #33 Posted July 28, 2009 Just saw your post. We live about 15 miles from the I-35 and I-90 exchange at Albert Lea Minnesota. You are more than welcome to come and stay the night with us. Don't know what day you will be coming through....but it's about 8 hours from here to Sturgis. We'd love to have you!
Yama Mama Posted July 28, 2009 Author #34 Posted July 28, 2009 Deb, What a kind offer of you to make. I certainly do appreciate that. I will let you know. We are leaving Saturday morning early. We probably would be going through your are on Sunday. Just guessing. I got your phone number off the VR assistance list. Maybe we will give you a call on our way home. Once again, that was so sweet of you. Yama Mama
TheKid Posted July 28, 2009 #35 Posted July 28, 2009 Yama Mama, Y'all have a safe trip out there. Just a heads up and maybe someone that lives in IN can say more but I heard there is A LOT of road work on I-74 and that they have made the tickets more strick so take it easy. I am leaving out Friday morning here from NC with a group. So if you see a 07 MIDNIGHT done up in JACK DANIELS then you have found me. Wave and/or come up and say hello. Ride SAFE!
Yama Mama Posted July 28, 2009 Author #36 Posted July 28, 2009 Thanks for the warning Kid. Just to let you know, our son is an Indiana State Trooper and I will let him know about your bike with the Jack Daniels on it. Hehehehe. Nah, just kidding Kid. We sure will wave if we see you traveling by. You be careful and ride safe. Yama Mama
coldinnd Posted July 30, 2009 #37 Posted July 30, 2009 Well it sounds like we are leaving on tuesday afternoon, but if you see a twin to your bike with North Dakota plates its me:hurts: PS watch out for deer in the hills:rudolf:
Yama Mama Posted July 30, 2009 Author #38 Posted July 30, 2009 hal that would be great to me you. I will keep a look out for you. I know the chances are probably not good to run across you in this sea of bikes and riders, but who knows. Thanks for letting me know. Have a safe ride and have fun. Yama Mama
