Marcarl Posted July 21, 2009 #1 Posted July 21, 2009 As some of you know, we, the local butchers in Ontario are having a struggle with our government. I was interviewed with Alison Crawford from the CBC and that was aired on Tuesday last week. http://podcast.cbc.ca/w6_20090714_2100.mp3 She also did a pod cast which you can read and comment on. I would sure love to see as many comments as possible, doesn't matter that you live in Austrailia or the north pole, I don't think that they check that close, but numbers count. I should have posted this sooner, but it just accured to me now, so better late than never I suppose. We have one day left to send the numbers over board. Thanks for your help,, I hope they have room for 6000 comments. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/07/15/f-meat-inspection.html
PBJ Posted July 21, 2009 #2 Posted July 21, 2009 Sent a comment to the media on the radio interview . I hope it helps.
dogman Posted July 21, 2009 #3 Posted July 21, 2009 Carl, I sent off a reply. I sure hope this will help you and the many others in the same situation.
a1bummer Posted July 21, 2009 #4 Posted July 21, 2009 You've got my support! I only go to the local, (If ya call 22 miles local), meat market for my meat products. Sure it's a bit more expensive, but it's not loaded with filler either. It states on the labels at Wally World that their meat products contain 10% filler. Sure it's cheaper... but it has no flavor, it's tough, and it's stuffed with filler! I'd rather pay more for the good stuff from people I know and trust.
Red Ryder Posted July 21, 2009 #5 Posted July 21, 2009 Hey Carl, sent a reply. Hope everyone else does the same. Sorry for the news bud. Later-
