Guest Ken8143 Posted July 21, 2009 #1 Posted July 21, 2009 How many Guardian Bells do you have on your bike?
Skid Posted July 21, 2009 #2 Posted July 21, 2009 None yet, but maybe someday I'll get around to getting it done. I've done some other accessorizing recently. Adding my GPS, XM, and cup holder....
slick97spirit Posted July 21, 2009 #4 Posted July 21, 2009 waiting for someone to care enough about me (HA!) to give me one. I understand that you render them ineffective if you buy one yourself and put it on. I don't want it on there just for the bling!
gibvel Posted July 21, 2009 #5 Posted July 21, 2009 waiting for someone to care enough about me (HA!) to give me one. I understand that you render them ineffective if you buy one yourself and put it on. I don't want it on there just for the bling! Well, heck, give me your address, I'll send you one!!
mkrieg Posted July 21, 2009 #6 Posted July 21, 2009 My bell is about worn out. I got it from the previous own of the bike.
GuthDaddy17 Posted July 21, 2009 #7 Posted July 21, 2009 I'm too superstitious to put one on because I've had good luck all these years without them...
Brake Pad Posted July 26, 2009 #8 Posted July 26, 2009 Mine was given too me, by a lady rider. "Never ride faster then your angel can fly"
Wanderer Posted July 26, 2009 #9 Posted July 26, 2009 Perhaps we should have a bell swap. We did that on the Kaw Forum and it was extremely successful.
Wanderer Posted July 26, 2009 #11 Posted July 26, 2009 But we have 3 bikes, so 3 bells We could put your name on the list 3 times and then you're randomly paired with 3 others for the exchange. Any body interested let me know I think I can keep up with it.
RJD Posted July 26, 2009 #12 Posted July 26, 2009 Becky and I have 3 and they are all from very special friends. They have more power when received from a friend. Bob
MiCarl Posted July 27, 2009 #14 Posted July 27, 2009 None here. But I have one that has been protecting my workbench for over a year. Someday I'll move it to the bike.
Magnawake Posted July 28, 2009 #15 Posted July 28, 2009 I dont even know what a G. bell is? Is it a secret?
Guest Ken8143 Posted July 29, 2009 #16 Posted July 29, 2009 A guardian bell is one of the most important accessories you can ever put on your bike. It is like this. The bell shape collects the road gremlins that wish to do evil to you and your bike. The clapper in the bell drives them to utter distraction and fall out on the road surface where they lay there all dazed in unable to create mischief. You can buy one for your self, and that is helpful, but the power is doubled if you get one - and - the power is significantly increased when it comes from a friend. Now, the special ones that Freebird had custom made for us (See Venture Merchandise) is the absolute most powerful bells ever conceived. They are specially designed for us VentureRiders, says so right on the bell - that is very strong medicine.
Black Owl Posted August 1, 2009 #17 Posted August 1, 2009 I have one... Guess that's trying to tell me something...
1BigDog Posted August 9, 2009 #18 Posted August 9, 2009 Thanks to gibvel, I now have one!!! I wish I would have seen this post sooner. I could have slipped one in the deflector box for ya.....
Evan Posted August 17, 2009 #19 Posted August 17, 2009 Sorry I missed the poll. I was given a Venture rider guardian bell by a member when I first bought my 88VR this spring. During Maintenance Day, I gave a bell to another member who had been riding without one. Anyone interested should read the note that comes with and explains the Guardian Bell. Among other things, it explains how potholes in the road are related to the devil.
mrwhitebikes Posted August 17, 2009 #20 Posted August 17, 2009 I only have one but have given out a dozen or so, Thats one thing i don't mind giving! Ride safe
alwrmcusn Posted July 12, 2011 #22 Posted July 12, 2011 I currently have three. One on either side of the front wheel (brake line guides) and one under the trunk. I probably will add a couple more if I find a design that I really like. What can I say, I like gadgets (smile).
Flyinfool Posted July 12, 2011 #23 Posted July 12, 2011 I have given out a couple but have still not received one. Is that why I am have all of these issues with my bike????
Condor Posted July 12, 2011 #24 Posted July 12, 2011 I have given out a couple but have still not received one. ME TOO!!
jemorrisonjr Posted July 12, 2011 #25 Posted July 12, 2011 Had only one for a LONG time.... Then I hit a deer witrh the bike and S-I-L bought me one saying "I think the other one just ran out of luck".....
