Skid Posted July 20, 2009 #2 Posted July 20, 2009 Good question Charlie, I still need to put my bell on my new bike yet. Although, I hear i'm not suppose to use my own bell???
MikeC Posted July 20, 2009 #3 Posted July 20, 2009 If you have Squidley's riding light brackets, they make a great place to hang the bell.
RedRider Posted July 20, 2009 #4 Posted July 20, 2009 It is supposed to hang from the lowest point on the bike for maximum protection. Generally hang it from somewhere on the lower frame or centerstand (if you have one). RR
awsmsrv Posted July 20, 2009 #5 Posted July 20, 2009 I hung mine from a hole underneath the middle of the bike where a centerstand would go.
saddlebum Posted July 20, 2009 #6 Posted July 20, 2009 I hung mine on one of my helmet holders, maybe thats why I leave bigger pot holes behind me ( bigger drop bigger pot hole) besides if my bell is going to start dropping gremlins is it not better to drop them behind you then in front of your rear wheel:big-grin-emoticon:
DragonRider Posted July 20, 2009 #7 Posted July 20, 2009 Mine is hooked to the loop on the front fork that the brake line runs through...............
ArcsSparks Posted July 20, 2009 #8 Posted July 20, 2009 On the front roll guard using a military book binding loop
Gray Ghost Posted July 21, 2009 #9 Posted July 21, 2009 It has been proven that on the KLR, the optimum place to put the bell is through a nose ring on the rider. Something about road clearance height to power to cool points ratio.
Guest Ken8143 Posted July 21, 2009 #10 Posted July 21, 2009 Where do most of you place the bell? Well, Charlie - most of us place it on the bike....

Squidley Posted July 21, 2009 #12 Posted July 21, 2009 Good question Charlie, I still need to put my bell on my new bike yet. Although, I hear i'm not suppose to use my own bell??? Jeff, No, your not supposed to install a bell that you bought yourself on your own bike. PM me your address and I'll give you one, thats how they work, they have to be given to you
Crash Posted July 21, 2009 #13 Posted July 21, 2009 I'm wondering if the BELL will work on my cage, since I no longer have a bike? :confused24::confused24::confused24:
Squidley Posted July 21, 2009 #14 Posted July 21, 2009 I'm wondering if the BELL will work on my cage, since I no longer have a bike? :confused24::confused24::confused24: Lonna has one in hers

Dragonslayer Posted July 21, 2009 #16 Posted July 21, 2009 What's a GEMLIN BELL? I hung my Gremlin Bell over the front wheel, under the headlight between the two brake lines.
Squidley Posted July 21, 2009 #18 Posted July 21, 2009 (edited) I don't have one Send me your addy and I'll get you off one, no bike should be without one whether your superstitious or not Edited July 21, 2009 by Squidley
a1bummer Posted July 21, 2009 #19 Posted July 21, 2009 No, I'm not superstitious at all. But I do like the idea behind them. I have been thinking of getting a few of the VentureRider.org bell for my brothers and friends. I doubt they have ever heard of guardian bells. I never have till I joined this site.
KevinsDa1 Posted July 22, 2009 #20 Posted July 22, 2009 I have a guardian bell attached to the lowest point on the engine guard. I also have a St. Christophers medallion that my wife requires me to use attached to the right mirror post. Kevin
slick97spirit Posted July 22, 2009 #21 Posted July 22, 2009 Don't have one on at the moment. Waiting for someone to care enough to give me one! I hear you render them ineffective if you buy one yourself. Just saying.......
