juggler Posted July 19, 2009 #1 Posted July 19, 2009 They don't make them like this any more. The car or the 90 year old owner. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,533803,00.html

djh3 Posted April 5, 2012 #3 Posted April 5, 2012 WOW I wonder how many of those miles were 35 mph in the left lane with the blinker going. LOL Seriously though, just shows if you take care of something like that it will last. Now a days probably not so much. You cant fix none of it, its all replacable not repairable.
Sideoftheroad Posted April 5, 2012 #4 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Some of the words are exactly the same from both stories. I seem to recall a similar story but the elderly lady was from Texas. Here's another post that now she is 2 yrs older than the other post and more descriptive as to where the parts came from http://www.examiner.com/classic-cars-in-dallas/1964-mercury-comet-approaching-600-000-miles-all-driven-by-92-year-old-grandmother Did a google search by the lady's name. Consistency is she is at least in her '90's and mileage is around 560-600k. Edited April 5, 2012 by Sideoftheroad
Morev4 Posted April 5, 2012 #5 Posted April 5, 2012 I cringed when I read where she ran a red light and HAD to give up her license. How happy go lucky she wouldn't be about it if she hit a motorcycle and injured or worse killed someone.
FuzzyRSTD Posted April 6, 2012 #6 Posted April 6, 2012 Good read, thank you all. Wow, a long time to drive just one vehicle. I think I read where someone put over a million miles on a Honda Goldwinger. Fuzzy
