GeorgeS Posted July 18, 2009 #1 Posted July 18, 2009 The E-3 installed 12 mo. ago now has 5720 miles on it. Center of tread measures, 1/4 inch of depth. So far, so good
BOO Posted July 19, 2009 #2 Posted July 19, 2009 Sounds pretty good. I got some good mileage out of the first one I had but I've noticed that the new one seems to have softer rubber in the center. Will be interesting to see how long this tire lasts. BOO
OutKast Posted July 19, 2009 #3 Posted July 19, 2009 Installed E3 last sept. Got over 16,000 on rear E3 with safe tread left. Somewhere around 17,500 the cord surfaced. At 18.500 the front still has plenty left.
waterbug Posted July 19, 2009 #4 Posted July 19, 2009 Are you runnning a bias ply or radial? My dealer said that they make both in the size for the venture and didnt know why I couldnt put radials on it??
davecb Posted July 19, 2009 #5 Posted July 19, 2009 I have my original Dunlop 404 with over 13000 miles on it. Figure I've going to get another 2000 miles out of it. And yes. ther is quite a bit of tread left on it.....And they are a whole bunch cheaper than most tires....

My dealer said that they make both in the size for the venture and didnt know why I couldnt put radials on it?? E-3 is not made in Radial type, for the 1st gen size rear. Only Bias ply. I'm not sure if they have Radial for 2nd gen rear size.
