3rd Annual St. Jude/Mean Dog Memorial Ride

Just got off the phone with Virgina Scott at St. Jude Children's Hospital and we are scheduled for our tour for Sept. 12, 2009. If there is any change to this date I will know in a week or two, so dont make any reservations or vacation plans yet, till I get a confirmation from St. Jude. I have set the time of the tour fo 1:00 pm, that will give us time to have lunch at the Flying J Truck Stop before heading over to St. Jude.

As in the past we will meet up at the Flying J Truck Stop in W. Memphis, Ark, which is just 5 minutes away from the hospital. I plan on getting there Friday evening and staying over so I can be there early, as I have been a last minute arrival for the last 2 trying to get there on Saturday. I will be posting more details later.

 

Also on that note, I discussed the Teddy Bear gifts for the Kids at St. Jude and they do not accept them for sanitary reasons, even the hypoallergenic ones, because of the stuffing and such, so if you have them, you might want to present them to a local chairity, fire dept, police dept, or hosptial. I will be downloading a list from St. Jude that shows what items are acceptable as gifts. Please understand, all these kids are very immune defficent and the least little bug or infection could possibly make them very ill or worse.

Hey, whatever we get will be great, with Squidley's yours and Vogels, it ought to be really nice, and remember I have over $700.00 from the St. Jude Auctions I had, with a little help from Barend and his 1st Gen parts. It will be really great to get back to St. Jude, they have a new addition to show us funded by Chili's.

I agree, leaving early Sat morining from Atlanta and trying to get there by noon is sometimes tough, thats what I did the last 2 times and was late on both occasions, so I will leave after work on Friday and get there in plenty of time.

i'm coming in on friday afternoon, don't know if linda will be with me. i'm still working on her. hope we have an even bigger crowd this year. really had a good time last year. st. jude is one awesome place. reminds me of a giant nusery school. you would never guess it was a hospital. danny thomas did well. :clap2:
