Blue Ridge Parkway closures

I have been on blueridgeparkway.gov and it appears that the closure from Asheville up to Mt Mitchell is now open. They are in the process of paving most of that area, which was the worst condition of any part of the parkway, but traffic is moving with some occasional waits. There is also an 11 mile detour near Boone for a landslide that is closed, but detour signs can keep you on track.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on hitting the parkway at Cherokee and riding to Asheville next week. First road trip on the Venture. I wasnt even thinking about checking closures. I dont think it will affect me, but I'll double check. I was sad to miss the Asheville meeting. Next time...
