Yama Mama Posted September 14, 2007 #1 Posted September 14, 2007 I just wanted to say how much I love this site. It has become an addiction. When I first get get up in the morning, when I get home; and before I go to bed; I have to check to see the latest posts. I know you are saying; this woman has no life. Yes, that is true, I have no real life. However, this web site has brought me many hours of enjoyment. I have made many new chat friends, and had a bunch of fun. I just wanted to say that. I love this place! Let's ride. Peggy:7_2_104[1]:
mini-muffin Posted September 14, 2007 #2 Posted September 14, 2007 Peggy you're absolutely right. This is a great place. Of course it's the folks here that make it that way. Margaret
Eugene Posted September 14, 2007 #3 Posted September 14, 2007 I agree as well - I don't usually have much to say but I love "checking in" ! The folks here are fun, helpful and have a GREAT sense of humor! Eugene
bongobobny Posted September 15, 2007 #4 Posted September 15, 2007 Yup, part of my daily life too!! Time and time again I have seen this site come together as a family and accomplish great things!
AZSpyder Posted September 15, 2007 #5 Posted September 15, 2007 Yes, that is true, I have no real life. I am in complete disagreement about not having a real life. I too check the posts before going to work, when I get home and through the evening. To me this is really living so in reality we do have a life. Jerry
BuddyRich Posted September 15, 2007 #6 Posted September 15, 2007 :shock3::shock3: Addiction , NEVER,, :rotf: Well, maybe just a little :bang head: :rotf::rotf:
Eck Posted September 15, 2007 #7 Posted September 15, 2007 Yep, my wife mentioned she wished I paid near as much attention to her... as I do this site...
dragerman Posted September 15, 2007 #8 Posted September 15, 2007 Yup to all that!! This is a great site, love the layout and all it has to offer but it’s the people that make it a special place. More then a few times I’ve almost fallen out of my chair with spontaneous laughter from some of the comebacks and quick wit comments. Equally impressive is peoples willingness to help others anyway they can... even if it just sharing an opinion. It certainly is a lifestyle envious to many and a family of a different sort! Bravo!
Lone Eagle Posted September 15, 2007 #9 Posted September 15, 2007 Yep, my wife mentioned she wished I paid near as much attention to her... as I do this site... BEEN THERE, HEARD THAT - :rotf: BUT, YOU ALL DON'T CHECK IN WHILE AT WORK????
hipshot Posted September 15, 2007 #10 Posted September 15, 2007 i am absolutely NOT addicted to this place!!!! i just check in 4 or 5 times a day, to see if all of the "really addicted", folks are still checking in, and to see what is up with charlie and lowell! lol just jt
fixit3546 Posted September 15, 2007 #11 Posted September 15, 2007 BEEN THERE, HEARD THAT - :rotf: BUT, YOU ALL DON'T CHECK IN WHILE AT WORK???? Would you like to wager a bet on that??? Hello, My name is Fixit3546 and I'm a venturerider.org'ahaulic...........
6pak Posted September 15, 2007 #12 Posted September 15, 2007 Before work, After work, During work, Whenever. This site sort of grows on ya.
mini-muffin Posted September 15, 2007 #13 Posted September 15, 2007 OK Guys to get the wife to stop complaining you need to sign them up. Then they'll be on here as much as you are. See simple solution. Ok you may need to have two computers (if you don't already have two). Wireless is good too. Then you can check in anywhere in the house or yard. Margaret
Yama Mama Posted September 15, 2007 Author #14 Posted September 15, 2007 Fellow Addicts, Maybe we need a support group to discuss our habit. When should we have the meetings and at what DQ do you want to meet? Peggy
Yammer Dan Posted September 15, 2007 #15 Posted September 15, 2007 91 hrs last week. Don't get much of a chance to check in but take a peek every morning before I go to bed. Tried chat the other day and couldn't get in. Anything changed in there?? Bike is still broke no time to fix. Got to get on it soon!!! 29th Meet&Eat in Saab or on 750?? Trying to get that day off?
Yama Mama Posted September 15, 2007 Author #16 Posted September 15, 2007 Hi Dan we miss you in chat. I have been having trouble getting into chat when using Internet Explorer. No problem when I used Mozilla though. Hope you get on chat soon! Peggy
WIKD Posted September 15, 2007 #17 Posted September 15, 2007 I am not even going to try and say I'm not addicted. This site is one of two I frequent 3-4 times a day. At least they're both motorcycle sites.
Animal Posted September 15, 2007 #18 Posted September 15, 2007 Yep-addicted. I even checked in while in the hospital.
Yama Mama Posted September 17, 2007 Author #19 Posted September 17, 2007 Hi Honey, I am glad to see you are up and about. I hope my addiction does not let them put me in the hospital! Peggy:wow:
mini-muffin Posted September 17, 2007 #20 Posted September 17, 2007 Dan if they don't let you off we should just move the meet to the prison. That should teach em to not let you off for one of our meets. Plus we'll have Beer30 with us he's worse then any of the prisoners you have.:rotf: :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: We'll have him make some pink chaps for all the guys up there. Margaret
heatonmt Posted September 18, 2007 #21 Posted September 18, 2007 yep at least 3 to 10 times a day. You all are getting to be family, it is hard to find people as nice as there are on this site. When you find them you just do not want to let go. :7_6_3[1]:
Jerry Zimmermann Posted September 18, 2007 #22 Posted September 18, 2007 Fellow Addicts, Maybe we need a support group to discuss our habit. When should we have the meetings and at what DQ do you want to meet? Peggy ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Hi Peggy, I also enjoy reading the various "stuff" on this great site! Take care, Jerry Encino, CA.
Aimhigh Posted September 18, 2007 #23 Posted September 18, 2007 I joined this site about two months ago and I don't think I've missed a day on checking in to see what's going on. I have found several other sites that discuss motorcycles, but this one is the TOPS!!! The comradery that is on the site is unsurpassed. Thank you all for being there. Jim T
Dano Posted September 18, 2007 #24 Posted September 18, 2007 Once again I'll say, without this site, I'd have still been working on past repairs, debating on which way to go with what, would've had the kitchen done 2 months ago, etc., etc., etc. Right now I should be doing invoices for my side work this evening, butttttttttt----- where am I?!?!?!?!?!?
Edbo Posted June 4, 2016 #25 Posted June 4, 2016 I found this thread and I have to agree , there are some people on here that are addicted to this site, me being one of them.
