juggler Posted July 12, 2009 #1 Posted July 12, 2009 We had a nice Saturday ride yesterday. We rode up to Superior, WI to have dinner. Total trip was 363 miles. Google Map of our trip The worst part was one the way up a hornet went up my left pant leg and stung me three times before I managed to kill the bugger. My left calf hurt for hours. It's really fun trying to kill it while trying not to crash! Other than that the weather was cool and breezy (heavy wind on the way up). I finally got to see how bright my new headlight is, it be bright!
midnightventure Posted July 12, 2009 #2 Posted July 12, 2009 That looks like a nice ride. My daughter lives in Chippewa Falls. I rode up there and then on to Duluth on a scenic road that paralleled a river right on the border of WI and MN. Then I cut over to I35 to get some of Tobys cinnamon rolls. Very scenic country. That was last Aug when the Aerostich VBR rally was going. Got below freezing overnight in Duluth in Aug.

Thought yoiu were trying to find a pair of half chaps to prevent incidents like that. Or maybe just a pair of gaiters....

I also have a pair of perfectly good Tour Master Venture Air mesh riding pants. I chose not to wear them. Actually I chose not to try to squeeze my backside into them.
