Stoutman Posted July 9, 2009 #1 Posted July 9, 2009 I'm in the market for an OBD II code reader/scanner. I just want to be able to read the codes and reset them if necessary. I don't mind using one in conjunction with my laptop if it saves me a few bucks. Any recommendation?

I don't know anything about the unit or if its a good price.

Some of the error codes I need to look up are on the web to find out what they are. Under $100.00 is not a bad price since it pays for itself the first time you will use it. Just my 2 cents!
V7Goose Posted July 9, 2009 #4 Posted July 9, 2009 The middle grade one at Harbor Freight - I think it cost me about $60. I tried their top one, but it would not read the codes on my Jag - the cheaper one works perfectly! The current NRA magazines have a 10% of coupon for Harbor Freight too! Goose
