New Mufflers - BUB?

I stopped at a dealer today and was talking about how my Venture sounds like a sewing machine and that I miss the 'Potato, Potato' sound of my V-Twin. He took me to his Venture and turned it on - It sounded great!

He said they were slip-on mufflers, something like BUB...????

He couldn't remember the name of them.

Do any of you have any idea what ones he is talking about?

That is the correct name. BUB slip-ons.

I think they sound nice but not $400 worth!!

 

I'm thinking of trading my Venture in the next year or so, I can't see adding that much to the bike if I'm going to get rid of her.

 

I figured maybe a couple hundred, tops.

Many people put Harley Road King stock pipes on the Venture. A few people make a custom bracket to hang them. Usually you can get almost new HD pipes really cheap since so many HD owners swap out the stock pipes for custom pipes.

 

Maybe someone will speak up about their HD pipes.

I find it hard to believe that someone would want to trade in their Venture for something that has a Potato-Potato sound. Potatos ain't got no power....

If you want to hear a Venture ROAR....Go to youtube and type in Royal Star Venture. Listen to the Vance and Hines. It would make Harleys cringe......
