Dragonslayer Posted July 6, 2009 #1 Posted July 6, 2009 Saturday I rode up to T.W.O. in Suches, Ga. When I pulled in I pulled up next to, on first glance, looked like a very clean and pretty Blue on Blue 1st Gen MK2 Venture Royale. Naturelly I immediatly introduced myself and asked the rider his name and if he was a Venturerider member. He gave his name and said he had never heard of the venturerider group. As we were talking I was admiring his bike which for some reason I couldn't immediatly place didn't look right. The front end was a typical 87VR but the tail end trunk, saddlebags and crash bars was Goldwing rear end painted perfectly to match the color scheme of the factory blue on blue ventures. The reflector on the trunk said , YamaHonda Before he left I gave him a card and the web site address, I also invited him to Vogel since he didn't live that far a way. So maybe we'll get a chance to check this bike out later in more detail.
RandyR Posted July 6, 2009 #2 Posted July 6, 2009 Sounds like another CDC lab experiment that has escaped...
Wanderer Posted July 7, 2009 #3 Posted July 7, 2009 Well, it looks pretty good, even if it is a mixed breed.
Rottdoglover Posted July 7, 2009 #4 Posted July 7, 2009 Very inovative fella. Now he has a 1st gen with ROOM to haul.
GlennTuc Posted July 7, 2009 #5 Posted July 7, 2009 Thats a good looking combination. Wonder what is says on the title?
loehring Posted July 7, 2009 #6 Posted July 7, 2009 It's all about the engine. That's the heart and soul so she's a Yamaha no matter what kind of dress she's wearing.
davecb Posted July 7, 2009 #7 Posted July 7, 2009 If Yamaha had put those bags and trunk on the first gen when it came out, I would have bought one...1st Gens got little ugly bag:whistling::whistling::witch_brew::witch_brew:s...
Yammer Dan Posted July 7, 2009 #8 Posted July 7, 2009 It's all about the engine. That's the heart and soul so she's a Yamaha no matter what kind of dress she's wearing.
5bikes Posted July 7, 2009 #9 Posted July 7, 2009 They have some styling, are more aerodynamic, are smaller so I don't have to haul the wife's kitchen sink, are removable, and rattle so I know they are still on the bike!
