loehring Posted July 6, 2009 #1 Posted July 6, 2009 I am in need of some instruction in welding. If anyone is a certified welder or instructor who would be willing to spend a few hours with me (for a fee http://www.patriotguard.org/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif ) please give me a call. 678-823-3003. Thanks.
loehring Posted July 6, 2009 Author #3 Posted July 6, 2009 Thanks Bill but I need someone I can get to personally. Preferably within a couple hundred miles.
Squidley Posted July 7, 2009 #4 Posted July 7, 2009 If I get down to Georgia anytime I'll get hooked up with you. If you want to call me my cell# is in my profile. If you have some experience I might be able to talk you through whatever you want done.
Dragonslayer Posted July 7, 2009 #5 Posted July 7, 2009 Thanks Bill but I need someone I can get to personally. Preferably within a couple hundred miles.I can weld what do you need to do?
loehring Posted July 7, 2009 Author #6 Posted July 7, 2009 Thanks guys. Actually I my have an opportunity at a 2 year contract job and a basic knowledge of welding would be a huge help. I did some torch welding in HS but nothing since. I have some basic knowledge but I need someone to tutor me in MIG, Stick and TIG welding. The contractor is doing some of the up-armoring for the military Humves.
barend Posted July 7, 2009 #7 Posted July 7, 2009 might be worth calling the local tech college and finding the welding instructor??
loehring Posted July 7, 2009 Author #8 Posted July 7, 2009 Thanks Barend. I did that and there is a conflict clause. They can't do anything on the side. I do have one trying to hook me up with a former student though.
