Mustang Royal Star seat for a Venture?

Ok I'll put this out to you guys cause I don't have a clue. Someone asked me if you can put a Royal Star mustang seat on a Venture. I told him I didn't thinks so. At least I never heard of anyone trying to do it... have any of you heard of such a thing?

Mounting is different, might work with some type of mod???

Might I guess? I don't know how a Royal Star mounts. I never heard of anyone doing it.

Not sure about other years, but my 1998 RSTC seat has a tab the slips into a slot close to the fuel tank. Then there is a tab on the rear of the seat that points straight down. That tab snaps into a latch which locks the seat in place. To get the seat off takes the ignition key to unlock the rear latch.

It doesn't sound like they are to compatible. The Venture has the slotted piece on near the rear of the seat and two bolts that hold the front down. I don't see how you could modify the Royal Star seat to fit the Venture.

I think I recall someone in Texas saying that he knows of brackets to use the RSV pillow seat on the Tour Deluxe, but not what you want.

it does require a modification, there is a tech article in the library.
