Roundman Posted July 3, 2009 #1 Posted July 3, 2009 I'm new to the Yamaha world. I'm looking for someone to suggest a honest dealer that has a good service teck for the Royal Star Tour Deluxe. I having a problem with the Cruise control & fuel gauge not working. Thanks for any Suggestions, Roundman
IH Truck Guy Posted July 3, 2009 #2 Posted July 3, 2009 Not all that familar with the RSTD,but is there a common fuse for both?????? Just hang in there and people smarter then me will chime in and get you fixed up and hopefully you won't have to take it to the dealer.
Kregerdoodle Posted July 3, 2009 #3 Posted July 3, 2009 I`m not that sure on a good dealer in the Houston area, as I have never had my bike to a dealer...I am not real good with the electronics of these beasts either, but try to do all of my own work, the people and info on this site are priceless, some one will chime in as to what needs to be checked out. I would be more then happy to give you a hand if some one smarter then me can say where to start looking... I have a big work shop and lots of tools, so feel free to give me a shout if you ever want to get together and work on these things... Kreg
Owen Posted July 3, 2009 #4 Posted July 3, 2009 I trust these guys... I have used others. Although I live on the north west side of town, Willowbrook, I would not let anyone else work on my bike. Texas Yamaha South Houston 305 Spencer Hwy South Houston, Tx 713.941.1991

StarFan Posted July 3, 2009 #6 Posted July 3, 2009 Hi Tim. Was wondering if your bike would not still have the warranty? It is five years you know and it should without doubt cover this.
pwortham Posted July 3, 2009 #7 Posted July 3, 2009 Iagree withOwen this is a good shop. As they do good work And have always treated me fairly. Paul
Dave77459 Posted July 6, 2009 #8 Posted July 6, 2009 As a data point, I would NOT recommend the Mancuso Powersports location on US59 S (Gessner-ish). They bought the old Yamaha dealership and apparently turned over all the techs. Whenever I have a question, no one can help. Everyone there seems to know Big Dogs, but not Yamahas. They are, however, convenient, being 10 minutes from home and 15 from the office. Other than that, meh.
