My Plans have changed

Gunboat - I just got back from my opthomologist, I thought my problem seeing was due to to 3 year old glasses - Turns out it is due to 66 year old eyes.

 

I have a cataract in my right eye that needs to be removed and replaced with one of those new things. He explained it all but the point is I have surgery on the 20th and then follow up visits and eye drops for 3 weeks.

 

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to map that out. There'll be no Arkansas nor Grand Canyon til the end of August or most likely the first week or so of September.

 

BTW - guess what was on my side porch when I got home ??

Sorry to hear of the eye problems you'll have eyes like when you were 18 when the doc gets done with you though. Now if they could just fix our old bodies back to when we were 18 they would have to lock all us old farts up. As far as your side porch I hope it was 2 twentys waiting for you.

Hope you heal quickly and I'm sure you will. When I was recently going through all my eye exams, I was told that I have very early stages of cataracts. She said it was expected and they are consistent with my age. She said that EVERYBODY would get them if they live long enough.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes. First one took about 20 minutes and the second one about 35. Very easy surgery and a fast recovery. You'll love the way you see after it's done. Good luck with it.

Side porch - 2 kumho tires, going to the dark side. I had Michelin radials on my last GoldWing and loved them - I'll have to start looking for a radial for the front of my Venture now.
