:thumbsup2: I would just like to say thank you to everybody that gave advice and suggestions concerning the clutch on the moneypit. And the winner is.....MBrood!

After reading everyone else's advice-he raised an interesting point. Knowing that I had just put a kit in the master cylinder, including the rod that works the thing, he started talking about aftermarket cylinders and handles. That got me to thinking- I have a black brake handle, but the clutch handle is polished metal, and when I bought the bike there was a broken black handle in the trunk.

He said that if I had put in an OEM pushrod between the handle and cylinder-that the rod may be too long- filed off 1/8" from the end that goes into the handle, and no more slip.

It seems that you always have to have a little handle free play to ensure no pressure in order for the return to be free.

After filing down the rod, I've logged about 700 miles on the bike, 200 yesterday at 90+ temps.

To quote Forrest Gump "that's good, one less thing".

Thanks again guys.

Well I don't remember you telling us that you had 2 different handles, that would have been an easy guess and now I'm not the winner.:bawling:

Glad you got it fixed up, sure can get frustrating when things like that happen. Enjoy your ride.

Well, i don't know how to say ...

i really do not want to take the Winner's Pot from MBrood, but ....

The third is ...

The Piston is not completely released from the Lever. Can be caused from Aftermarket Levers, which do not fit 100 Percent and constantly keeping a small Rest on the Piston or the Bolt in the Lever which is holding the Piston's End is stuck. Check if there is a little bit of Play between the Lever and Piston when the Lever seems to be completly depressed.

P.S. don't sell your Bike, because of that minor Hassle, you will find it Culprit and be one happy Camper

Ok, forget about it, i'm really happy that your back on the Road :cool10::cool10::cool10:
