Karl C. Posted April 13, 2010 #26 Posted April 13, 2010 See that is one of the good things about not wearing a helmet.... just go home, take a shower and wash your hair and all is done, smell is gone, bugs are gone, etc...lol I actually do wear a helmet most of the time but once in a while I get a wild hair up my arse and ride without one... just a freedom thing.
Drkngas Posted May 15, 2010 #27 Posted May 15, 2010 I keep the original bags and boxes for my helmets and while they are in those bags and boxes i put a Bounce sheet in inside the helmet. May not clean anything but it smells better. Washing the removeable liner only about 2x per year on the helemts that have it when it gets really bad.
Ponch Posted May 16, 2010 #28 Posted May 16, 2010 I went back to wearing a "Doo Rag" because of oily skin. The liner was getting grungy. LilBit uses natural ingredients for cleaning. She keeps a spray bottle filled with an equal mixture of vinegar and water. I soaked the liner with it, scrubbed it a little, wiped it out, soaked it again, wiped it out again and let it dry. It looks and smells Brand New now.
