2005 RSTD Fork Seals and Warranty

So I think the front fork seals are weeping on my bike. When I had it up on a lift there is an accumulated dirt/goo under the right fork. Went by my dealer, they verified that it is still under warrant (that took some doing), and supposedly called Yamaha and was told that fork seals are NOT covered under the 5 year warranty. Anybody know any different?

find a new dealer!! that one is full of sheet!!
