Iowa Guy Posted June 22, 2009 #1 Posted June 22, 2009 I am going to be on vacation at St. Simons Island, Georgia during the first two week in July. It is just off the coast from Brunswick. I haven't ridden a 2nd GEN Venture. I'd love to rent one for a day or two. What are my options to rent? Iowa Guy
Brake Pad Posted June 22, 2009 #2 Posted June 22, 2009 don't know anyone thats rents them, hell, I could'nt even get a ride before buying one.
Iowa Guy Posted June 22, 2009 Author #3 Posted June 22, 2009 don't know anyone that rents them, hell, I couldn't even get a ride before buying one. I know. Too much to ask for but might as well dream. Suppose if I do rent, I'll get stuck with a HD. Iowa Guy
Eck Posted June 22, 2009 #4 Posted June 22, 2009 Tim, I thought I would suggest this place to eat while vacationing near by. It is about 50 miles north of St. Simons Island. Every time I am even near this place I make sure I stop to eat here. 4 floors high: 1st floor = resturant 2nd floor = resturant, identical to1st floor 3rd floor = lounge and dance floor with live music on weekends 4th story = roof area where you can sit and have your favorite drink as you watch the moon light shining on the river.. One of the BEST darn sea food places ever. Right on the rivers edge. Hint: Ask for a window seat..... Pelican Point Restaurant 1381 Pelican Point Rd NE Townsend, GA 31331 (912) 832-4295 Here is a link to the resturant: http://pelicanpointseafood.com/ Here is a map for you if interested.. http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=St.Simons%2C+ga&daddr=1398+Pelican+Point+Rd%2C+Darien%2C+GA
GuthDaddy17 Posted June 22, 2009 #5 Posted June 22, 2009 I rented a H.D. while in Boston last year and it was the BEST thing I could have done! I know know without a doubt that I love my RSV. I thought it was a great bike but the whole time all I could think was "I'm glad I didn't spend $23.000 to purchase on of these!!! Rent the H.D., you will love your RSV even more when you get back home.

RandyR Posted June 24, 2009 #9 Posted June 24, 2009 I stopped at Pelican Point while riding between Savannah and Brunswick. It is a good place to stop. Any luck on the MC rental? I don't ever recall seeing a RSV for rent. If you want to come to the north of Georgia, we have a dealer here in Dahlonega that rents MotoGuzzi Norges.
Iowa Guy Posted July 17, 2009 Author #10 Posted July 17, 2009 OKAY OKAY! I've got everything written down and I will try to report back. Now I have some mighty high expectations. I do like to eat. Thanks again Iowa Guy Wow! You are right. Great place to eat with an incredible buffet of seafood and prime rib. I ate seafood everynight for two weeks and never saw/tasted anything this diverse. The restaurant is located way back in the marsh and could use many gallons of fresh paint but all that only add to its appeal. Great place and i have recommended it to many of my friends. Thanks so much.
kd4uvc Posted July 17, 2009 #11 Posted July 17, 2009 Stay on the interstate around that part of Georgia. It is the king of speed traps. Stay away from Ludowicki at all costs or it will be all costs. Worst speed trap in the US.
