i have removed the control unit and resoldered the pins on the circuit board, and the all check out okay. the E-1 code still comes up when i turn on the key to the accessory position.

anyone have this happen before and where is the best place to start?

Cheers, Scott

I had the same issue. All I had to do was tighten all connections and clean all around the compressor unit and it stopped.

It took me two times to get it right when I did mine. I missed some pins I guess. I did every pin I could find even if they didnt look bad. Thats over a year and no problems since.
