Hyder brake lights turn off driving lights ???

I have tried twice to install rear brake Hyder lights . When I connect the 2 wires to the brake wires (one to ground the other to the brake wire). When I use the brakes the rear driving light goes out ????? Help.....

Did a google search and didn't find anything. Maybe you could post more specifics. What color wires are you hooking to, and where and how did you tap into the wires?
