footsie Posted June 18, 2009 #1 Posted June 18, 2009 Just put the new kumho on, had some problems seating, after the classic we were gun shy, but we got the kumho lubed enough that it popped out about 80 lbs. Put it on the bike and man what a diffierence from the brickstone. Bike rides great, no handling problems at all. Running 36 lbs. However when I pulled my shaft to gease it, the seal tore a the pumpkin end. epoxy on the tear, put back to gether ordered seal from bike bandit. Will order a cobra radial for the frount shortly. gregg
buddy Posted June 18, 2009 #2 Posted June 18, 2009 Glad it went better this time around. hows your ears doing? ringing that is. It took mine a week before they stopped ringing when a tire blew back in 2001 on a car rim - used tire . I'm looking toward a car tire for my next change for my Wing. What model is the Kumho you had installed? I hear Kumho is good for the motorcycle... Buddy
footsie Posted June 18, 2009 Author #3 Posted June 18, 2009 A power star I think is what it written on the tire. And it took about three days on the ringing, but my ears ring some all the time. Gregg

footsie Posted June 21, 2009 Author #5 Posted June 21, 2009 The cobra radial on the frount with radial ct on back, is what I had on red, my 2000 RSV, In my opinion it made the sweetest interstate riding machine there can be. ( even matches my brotheras 1800 wing) I did not keep the bike long enough to cover all riding conditions but what I did was great. The guy that owns it now loves it. This is a frount designed radial 150/80/16, Avon cobra. I will put one on the 04 rsv as soon as I can get one. Money is not free enough to throw away the frount brickstone, it still has tread. But within the next month I will have an avon cobra on the frount. I believe it is the perfect mate for the kumho car tire on the rear.
