Iowawegian Posted June 17, 2009 #1 Posted June 17, 2009 I'm finally got myself an ipod shuffle. Haven't listened to music much for the last 20 years or so.... I would like to find some "easy listening" (do they still call it that?) guitar music to put on this little contraption. Does anyone have any artrist they recomend that i could download off itunes? Iowawegian....who's really trying hard to understand all these new fangled gadgets.
dusty1300 Posted June 17, 2009 #2 Posted June 17, 2009 Not sure what your tastes are, but I love Robin Trower for easy listening guitar. One of my favorites is the album "In City Dreams". Here is a video of one of the songs off this album: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7mWFtd-3GI]YouTube - Robin Trower - Bluebird - Recorded in 1977[/ame] Tom
RandyR Posted June 17, 2009 #3 Posted June 17, 2009 Try listening to Al Petteway. Acoustic guitar virtuoso, plays various styles.

Snaggletooth Posted June 17, 2009 #8 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) I got to throw in Leo Kottke. Not well known but his album "Regards from Chuck Pink" is excellent. Full of his unique guitar style and humorous stories. If you haven't seen him play you would swear there are several guitars. Then again...anything by Carlos Santana, Stephen Stills, Eric Clapton and B.B. King are fine by me. Edited June 17, 2009 by Snaggletooth

dusty1300 Posted June 17, 2009 #11 Posted June 17, 2009 As as a guitar student, Tommy Emmanuel never ceases to amaze me. I could listen to Guitar Boogie all day long. He also has nice tutorials and travels all over the world giving classes. A great guy and a phenomenal guitarist. Tom
