RandyR Posted June 16, 2009 #2 Posted June 16, 2009 click on User CP on the left of the screen under Main Menu. Then click on Edit profile picture.
Guest Oldsalt Posted June 16, 2009 #4 Posted June 16, 2009 I went to the User CP and did the edit to upload from my PC (pic was 55.2k). It showed the right picture but when I selected the SAVE option I got 'failed to load' notice. Anyone know why or what I missed? Thanks, oldsalt
friesman Posted June 16, 2009 #5 Posted June 16, 2009 HI I think the size limit on pics is around 40kb (but I am not sure) so that would explain your failure to upload. There are several image resizers around the net to download for free if you need one. Brian
Guest Oldsalt Posted June 16, 2009 #6 Posted June 16, 2009 Naw, it says 64K is the limit. But...I may be over the pixel size as mine 300x320. I will look at resizing. Thanks, oldsalt
wes0778 Posted June 16, 2009 #7 Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Picture (File) is too large. To get it to show up by your name you need to upload it to the Avatar. Edited June 16, 2009 by wes0778 Miss spelled avatar
RandyR Posted June 16, 2009 #8 Posted June 16, 2009 One can use the PAINT utility that comes free with Windows to resize. Use the [image] tab and select Stretch/Skew, then stretch to a different size, like 50/50 to be 50% smaller in both width and height. Then save it. You can then check the size by using [image] and selecting attributes.
Guest Oldsalt Posted June 16, 2009 #9 Posted June 16, 2009 Thanks Randy, that was the trick. (In Vista64 it is called Resize/Skew). oldsalt
latchkey Posted June 17, 2009 Author #10 Posted June 17, 2009 i uploaded pic of wife and bike but still not showing it on thread next to my name?
Guest Oldsalt Posted June 17, 2009 #11 Posted June 17, 2009 Settings and Options (3rd section down under CP User), then edit Avatar.
bongobobny Posted June 17, 2009 #12 Posted June 17, 2009 ...and don't forget to hit the "save changes" button. Make sure the "don't use avitar" is unchecked. Select the "Use custom avitor" button.
