Engine Compatability question.

Does anyone know if a 2007 1300 Venture engine will mount in my 2000 Royal Star Tour Deluxe. My local parts guy says the crankcase part # is different, but thought it would. I would like to know for sure though. Thanks for any help.

Yes it will. I know of a few folks who have done that. The biggest issues will be the TPS connection, the airbox, and the throttle cables. For the TPS, you'll need to splice and solder the matching connector into the wiring harness. Just match the three wire colors. That one is easy. No factory airbox will fit. The easiest thing is to use air pods, and then you'll have to rejet the carbs to match. The throttle cables may need a little bit of the housing cut off of one of them to get the cable ends to reach properly. That one is a little tricky, but it can be done. I may be forgetting something that will come to me later.
