First impresssion - Avon Venoms

So, with a little over 400 miles on a pair of new Avon Venoms, I gotta say...WOW! Huge improvement over the stock tires. Quieter, smoother ride especially at highway speeds.

 

As most Venom owners state, these tires seem to improve slow speed handling, almost makes the bike feel "less top-heavy".

 

Did I mention that I really like these tires"??

Ive run em on mine for 16000 miles now and they look great,I have a pair of Elite 3s to try but I am really thinking of getting another set of Avons and put back on...I know some have had sidewall cracking issues but none here yet...Be sure you wear off that NEW slick dressing they put on the tires before really getting in it on the curves.

I have over 5,000 miles on my Venoms and I'm just starting to see a little wear in the center of the rear tire...no visible wear to the front tire at all. Great traction and handling, too.

Very happy with mine so far too. I ve only put about 500 mi on them so far. I'll let ya no more when I go to gatlinburg the last of august. (tail of the dragon)!
