rmcclain Posted June 13, 2009 #1 Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) Has anyone installed a connection for a GPS to plug into. Is this just a normal automotive assessory connection? This is on a 1989 VR. Edited June 13, 2009 by rmcclain Left something out
mini-muffin Posted June 13, 2009 #2 Posted June 13, 2009 Yes it is, Walmart power port connector Muffinman has four or five on each of his bikes. Just make sure to wire positive and negative properly. Margaret
sarges46 Posted June 13, 2009 #3 Posted June 13, 2009 On my old 89 I placed a cigarette lighter on the black plastic just above the false gas tank cover. You will have to drill out a hole. I then used that to plug in my GPS. I have seen a hard wire system on EBAY for the GPS. But you have to make sure its the right one for your GPS. This is wired directly to your battery.
