Hello everyone,

A friend here in Oz runs a 1500 Goldwing with double sidecar, and is looking for the correct C/T to run on the back of the bike. Would it be the same (Kumho) as the ones' you all run on the RSV ??:confused24:

Any advice you can give would be appreciated :thumbsup2:

Hi Annie

I have the car tire on the back of my Venture but the hack has a 13-90-16 MC tire on it.

Very little wear showing on the hack tire.

I just put an Avon Venom rear tire on the front today and it handles great.

If he can find a Car tire for the hack I'm sure it will work just need to find one with the right rim size. If he has a 15 inch rim then a 155 or 165 - 15 should work fine.

The 1500 GW has a 180/70/16 rear tire, not sure there is a good choice for a C/T. The 1800 GW has a 15" rear and there a lot to choose from.

I think the 1500 wing will handle the same tire as the valkyrie will a 205/55/16 with no mods to the bike, or a 205/60/16 but the clearance of the fender mounting bolts has to be checked for this size.
