whozleft Posted June 9, 2009 #1 Posted June 9, 2009 does anyone have a pic or diagram showing where the oil site glass is on an older Goldwing? I am trying to explain it to a co-worker and he has looked and can't find it. Unfortunately he didn't ride in today so I could actually take him out to the lot and show him. I know it's hard to find, so thought a pic would help. Thanks for any help.
Shamue Posted June 9, 2009 #2 Posted June 9, 2009 have an 81 1100 wing its on the right side down low just abone the front foot peg. it may be dirty as oil usually gets and won't look like a site glass. it's about 2/3 the size of the RSV site glass. best to check the oil on the center stand.
r12guy Posted June 10, 2009 #3 Posted June 10, 2009 yes its low and to the right, and there should be a little screw head at the top that operates a little wipper to clean the inside of the glass....
MidlifeVenture Posted June 11, 2009 #4 Posted June 11, 2009 I used Q tips on the outside to clean it . My first and prior bike was e GL1100I.
