cagillis Posted June 9, 2009 #1 Posted June 9, 2009 Hi All, Well I've had my '86 venture (land yacht) for about 2 weeks now and am loving every minute of it. Question I have is I've seen pictures of ventures with rider floorboards vice the standard pegs yet I've looked online and can't find them to purchase anywhere. Anyone have any ideas? It's just not fair that the wife gets floorboards and I don't.
6m459 Posted June 9, 2009 #2 Posted June 9, 2009 You see them on ebay from time to time. The rears seem to come up more often for some reason. I have never bothered. Good luck! Brian H.
Schlepporello Posted June 9, 2009 #3 Posted June 9, 2009 The rear ones I have seen on Ebay have been for models much younger than my '84. Will they fit anyway?
godinmw Posted June 9, 2009 #4 Posted June 9, 2009 are you looking for floorboards for the driver, i just posted a set for 86-93 in the classifieds for 225.00 plus shipping
Schlepporello Posted June 9, 2009 #5 Posted June 9, 2009 are you looking for floorboards for the driver, i just posted a set for 86-93 in the classifieds for 225.00 plus shipping I'm trying to find some for the passenger. I myself stand 6'-7.5" tall. I have serious doubts that floorboards are going to do me any good.
bongobobny Posted June 10, 2009 #6 Posted June 10, 2009 Schleppo, yes, the MK2 boards can be made to fit. You have to make a set of hangers for your exhaust, and use some of the hardware from the peg mounts, and buy 2 longer bolts, but it does work...
camos Posted June 14, 2009 #8 Posted June 14, 2009 I haven't done a search of the forum yet but I have some floorboards that I want to mount forward of the stock footpeg position and of course move the controls forward to match. Anyone know of any threads on this mod?
