Mark Koontz Posted June 3, 2009 #1 Posted June 3, 2009 Some months ago I was asking about this swap- I am nealy complete now but need some advice on wiring the (electric) anti-dive soleniods to work. Do I simply use the brake switch to feed them 12V? Do I setup a relay? Do they need a different voltage? Any help is deeply appreciated, Mark Koontz '83 Venture Wichita, KS
Squeeze Posted June 3, 2009 #2 Posted June 3, 2009 Yes, you need a Relay to feed the Anti Dive Solenoids. It's a fused Line from the Battery to the Relay and from there to the Solenoids. Just pick up the Brake Light Wire, and feed the other Relay Coil Post from there. The other Wire on the Solenoids goes to Ground.
bongobobny Posted June 3, 2009 #3 Posted June 3, 2009 Yup! You use the brake line mto trigger the relay, and 12 volts thru the contact to the anti dive solenoids. The black wire of the EAD solenoids goes to ground while the Black/white leads go to the relay contact. When you hit the brakes, it should energise the relay which in turn energises the Anti Dive Solenoids...
