Since I'm too lazy to go out and check myself I thought I'd pop the question. When removing the rear upper frame assembly, do I need to worry about it being a part of the support holding the frame together, and will it make things go very bad...very quickly if not supporting the chasis. Tom Patterson's old '90 parts bike took a shot to the rear and bent up the trunk mount and frame, and lo-and-behold I actually have another upper... :sign woo hoo: to replace the bent one. The rest of the frame looks pretty straight. I just wanted to make sure that the whole rig doesn't go ka-plooey when I take out that last bolt.... :)

No, just take off the peripheral stuff like bags and wiring and there are four bolts that hold the rear frame on. You don't even have to take the rear wheel assembly off. Not a big job, just several small things.

No the frame will not go wonky when you remove the rear sub frame Condor. There are 4 bolts holding it together 2 at the front of the seat and 2 at the front of the crash bars (big chrome nut) I have swapped out the MK1 and MK2s before they bolt up the same.Let me know if I can answer any more questions.
