Is this carb extraordinarily dirty?

While changing my spark plugs tonight I noticed a lot of oil residue on the left rear carb and boot. The other three were relatively clean. Does this look normal for 23,000 miles? I am assuming that when the bike is on the side stand this is the lowest corner of the airbox and any residue drains to that corner. Am I right?

Looks normal to me. In fact, it looks cleaner then mine.

You are right and I would say that looks normal for 23 K. Make sure you are not over filling the engine with oil, about half way the sight glass is good.

That's about how mine is and mine has about 32k.
