Midrsv Posted June 3, 2009 #1 Posted June 3, 2009 While changing my spark plugs tonight I noticed a lot of oil residue on the left rear carb and boot. The other three were relatively clean. Does this look normal for 23,000 miles? I am assuming that when the bike is on the side stand this is the lowest corner of the airbox and any residue drains to that corner. Am I right? Dennis
flb_78 Posted June 3, 2009 #2 Posted June 3, 2009 Looks normal to me. In fact, it looks cleaner then mine.
mm482 Posted June 3, 2009 #3 Posted June 3, 2009 You are right and I would say that looks normal for 23 K. Make sure you are not over filling the engine with oil, about half way the sight glass is good. Earl:thumbsup:
ScottXD45 Posted June 3, 2009 #4 Posted June 3, 2009 That's about how mine is and mine has about 32k.
