I used individual leds with velcro mount to light the bike up and not see the led. http://www.superbrightleds.com has a great selection. when its just your basic led you'll need to solder a 330 ohm 1/4 watt resistor to it to limit current flow. No thick wire is needed as the amp draw is very small

Custom Dynamics has some great lights - and products. They are also great people to work with.

Having said that, I just purchased from them the Wizard lights - put (8) of them on my bike. They are nice lights - but let me tell ya, a pain in the neck to install - at least for me and a great friend who is extremely savvy on electrical "stuff". They really aren't "plug and play" - as I thought they would be. But at the end of the day - heehee- they do look nice.

+1 on Custom Dynamics. They have LEDs that are specific to the 2nd generation Venture and comes in a kit or you can purchase them individually. On my bike, I have LEDs all around and also added a Harley Auxilliary Light and fitted it with LED clusters. As you know, LEDs are not cheap but they are super bright during the day and especially at night.
