tufftom4 Posted May 21, 2009 #1 Posted May 21, 2009 Well I got my MRI results back today and I didn't tear anything in my shoulder I streched the tendons and they are swollen. I also have fluid buildup from the swelling so they gave me 2 cortizone shots and hopefully I will be riding soon. TOM
Blackjack Posted May 21, 2009 #3 Posted May 21, 2009 Thanks for the update, Tom! That nothing is torn is very good news. I hope you recover quickly and fully and are able to ride again soon... TERRY
SteveW Posted May 21, 2009 #4 Posted May 21, 2009 Great to hear you had good news. I'm sure you will be sore for awhile. Shoulders are nothing to mess with. Heal soon and get to enjoy the summer.
RandyR Posted May 21, 2009 #5 Posted May 21, 2009 Yep. Very good news. Shoulder surgery has come a long way the last few years but is still painful and can take a while before full use is available. I had orthroscopic surgery 2 years ago, ie: a small incision where a mini camera was stuck in and then a couple more small incisions where a robotic arm went in and stapled everything back together. The Dr. did it all watching a tv screen, like a computer game.
Cerviperus Posted May 26, 2009 #6 Posted May 26, 2009 Got my MRI results today, and I get to have arthroscopic knee surgery a week from Friday. Yipee! Doctor said I should be back to normal in a matter of a couple days, so nothing too major. It'll just be nice to have at least one knee quit causing me problems! One down, one to go. Hopefully the other one clears up when I quit favoring this one. Either that or I'm going to push to have it done this year as well, since I will probably meeting my deductible with this one.
