jemorrisonjr Posted May 21, 2009 #1 Posted May 21, 2009 I was wondering if anyone has an Idea on the best way to make a pole to fly a flag from the trailer hitch on my Tour deluxe.. I have the bracket made but need to know what would hold up as the pole. Dont want it bending and dragging behind me.. Thanks

loehring Posted May 21, 2009 #3 Posted May 21, 2009 I use PVC with a wood dowel down the center. I know some others who have used extendable painters poles and put a nice cap on the top. Either will work.
KiteSquid Posted May 21, 2009 #4 Posted May 21, 2009 Several questions: What size of flag do you want to display? How many flags will you be flying? What is the MAXIMUM relative wind speed you will experience with the flag/s flying? Relative wind speed is the vector summation of the vehicle vector and the true wind vector.
jemorrisonjr Posted May 22, 2009 Author #5 Posted May 22, 2009 Plan is to fly just one regular sized flag. Nothing special.. Really dont plan on high speed runs with a flag flapping behind me..
KiteSquid Posted May 22, 2009 #6 Posted May 22, 2009 What do you mean by a regular size flag? I have a flag that I use regularly, it is 40 feet by 60 feet....
